Much Better for Giving Sub-Q Fluids Than Drawing Directly From Bag
I have used these in the past, ordered from another online supplier, so I was already familiar with the Terumo Infusion Sets. This is for giving sub-cutaneous fluids do my cat, Edgar, who has kidney disease and hyperthyroid. Members in a feline kidney disease online support group highly recommend Terumo needles over all other brands for their thin diameter and sharpness. With the infusion sets, I draw up 40 ml of fluids using a larger needle into two 60-ml lock luer syringes with o-rings, totaling 80 ml. Warm up the syringes in hot water, attach the needle, move the fluid through the line, sit on the sofa with Edgar, and administer. Much better than setting him on the bathroom vanity with the bag hanging on a hook on the door, looking back over my shoulder, and trying to guess the amount of fluids given by the lines on the bag.
